Wellfleet skatepark from dgonville on Vimeo.
Had a chance to skate at the Wellfleet skate park on Cape Cod while on vacation. Haven’t really skated in about 25yrs, this place offers some fun sections! I’m actually really into skating lately and I picked up this nice Deckcrafters Woodwind, with Indies 169’s, 58mm Spitfire park burner wheels, This board is perfect for older skaters, who want a more mellow park board, not much concave, it’s a really sweet setup!
Going to have one of my paintings in a silent auction at the upcoming event
Surf for the Cause Summer Soiree: “A Charity Event”

This is going to be a huge event, and a highlight of the Summer!

Thank you to the people at Surf Rider Foundation DC for inviting me to be in there successful show!
here are some pics and info about the event on opening night!
I’ve started working on a new series called “Flat Spell”, since I haven’t surfed in a few weeks this name seems appropriate. Been working in larger format lately. Using reclaimed wood panel as my base, I’m continuing to paint with encaustics and oil paint and other mediums including 1960’s Lanolium. My light carpentry experience is coming in handy with this series, I like working with wood and it seems to go well with this batch of work.
I’ve been invited to show in the Surf Rider Foundations annual event in DC, so if your in the area check it on out at “Articulate” (only four blocks from the Whitehouse) Name of the show is “Ripple” art affecting oceans. Our oceans including the Gulf could use a little help right now!
Paul Pedro finished up his Mini-Simmons and had Ed Camera of LC glass it up, this board looks real nice!, high gloss finish and yellow go well, Paul also made the fins by hand, you can custom order fins from him, These retro shapes work real well in small summer surf up here in Rhode Island, here are more pics
I have three paintings at The Hive Cape Ann in Gloucester Ma, it’s a “culture collective” of artist, so if your up on the North Shore, or looking for a cool day trip swing by and check out the gallery !
