I’ve been making my own frames using “reclaimed wood” mostly extra scrap I find around the shop and mill building. Amaizing what you can do with a little Gorilla Grip, and a miter saw.
Rhode Island during large winter swell, I’ve used photos from this series for reference in many of my recent paintings.

Lots of layers, this painting has changed about 50 times, why I like working with encaustic. Photo transfer references a digital photo I casually shot this August at South Shore in Little Compton. The transparency of the medium sometimes doesn’t always translate on an lcd screen, some of the layers are opaque.
